How I Got Started

I wasn't always a Web Designer and Computer Artist.

I am a writer.  At least that's what I started out to be a long time ago. And in one form or another I'm still writing today, though it's mostly website copy now.  My first love in writing is creative fiction - short stories are my favorite format.

My "Big Break" came in 1985 (can you say, "Dude, you're old,"?).  My roommate was a photographer for the local community college newspaper.  He was taking pictures for a story, but there wasn't anyone available to write the article before press time.

Knowing I'd been writing creative stories since junior high (we'd gone to kindergarten together), he asked me if I'd write the article for him.  I did, and the college newspaper liked it so well that I ended up writing for them again.  After that, it was all uphill!
